Hiking through the history of the Walser people
Cultivating historical awareness of Triesenberg
It wasn’t until the 13th century that the area of Triesenberg was permanently settled by the Walser migrants. Covering almost 30 square kilometres, the largest municipality in the Principality of Liechtenstein has retained its remarkable language as a distinctive sign of its people’s origins to this day.
Walser Museum
The starting point of the themed trail is the Walser Museum, which houses an engaging and informative exhibit documenting the history of the Walser people. The popular multimedia show also offers an immersive audiovisual experience illuminating the history, life and landscape of this mountain community.
