Data Protection Officer
The Liechtenstein municipalities have appointed a joint Data Protection Officer. At the meeting on 11 September 2018, the Triesenberg municipal council officially appointed Dr. Philipp Mittelberger, who also performs this function for the other municipalities, as data protection officer for the municipality of Triesenberg.

Provision of the website
Each time our website is accessed, our system automatically collects data and information from the computer system of the accessing computer. The following data are collected:

SSL encryption
When you visit our website, we use the widely used SSL (Secure Socket Layer) method in conjunction with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser. You can recognise whether an individual page is transmitted in encrypted form by the closed display of the key or lock symbol in your browser’s address bar. We also use other suitable technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or unauthorised access by third parties. Cookies
We use cookies on our website to make our offer user-friendly. Cookies are small files that your browser automatically creates and that are stored on your end device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our website. The cookies remain stored until you delete them. This allows us to recognise your browser the next time you visit.

If you fill out a contact form or send us an email or other electronic message, your details will only be stored for the purpose of processing the enquiry or related correspondence and will only be used in the context of the enquiry.

We use links to external sites on our website that are specifically labelled and whose content is not on our server. The external content of these links was checked when the links were created. However, the content being subsequently changed by the respective providers cannot be ruled out. If you notice that the external providers’ content violates applicable law, please inform us.
Social plug-ins (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
Our website does not use social plugins from Facebook and Twitter, i.e. when you visit our website no information is passed on to the providers of Facebook and Twitter. However, you can share content via our website on your own Facebook and Twitter profiles by accessing links from Facebook and Twitter. You will then leave our website and be forwarded directly to the respective providers’ websites and functions. Messaging services / newsletter via WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger
By sending a start message to the company specified in the imprint (hereinafter referred to as the Sender), I consent in accordance with Art. 6 no. 1 subclause (a) GDPR to the Sender using my personal data (e.g. surname and first name, telephone number, messenger ID, profile picture, messages) for direct communication and the data processing required for this purpose using the selected messenger. An existing messaging account with the respective provider is required to use this service.

I am aware that the respective provider receives personal data (in particular communication metadata) that is also processed on servers in countries outside the EU (e.g. USA) where an adequate level of data protection cannot be guaranteed. However, WhatsApp Inc. and Facebook Inc. are certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus offer a guarantee of compliance with European data protection law. Further information can be found in the privacy policies of the respective messengers above. The Sender has neither precise knowledge of nor influence over data processing by the respective provider.
Your consent to this data processing can be freely revoked at any time by entering ‘STOP’ in the respective messenger.
To have all your data stored with our service provider removed, send a message with the text ‘DELETE ALL DATA’ via your messenger.
The technical service provider WhatsBroadcast GmbH, Schwanthalerstraße 32, 80336 Munich is used as the sender’s processor to provide this service.
Web statistics using Matomo
This website uses the open-source web analysis service Matomo.
Through Matomo, we are able to collect and analyze data on the use of our website-by-website visitors. This enables us to find out, for instance, when which page views occurred and from which region they came. In addition, we collect various log files (e.g. IP address, referrer, browser, and operating system used) and can measure whether our website visitors perform certain actions (e.g. clicks, purchases, etc.).
The use of this analysis tool is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the analysis of user patterns, in order to optimize the operator’s web offerings and advertising. If appropriate consent has been obtained, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. This consent can be revoked at any time.
IP anonymization
For analysis with Matomo we use IP anonymization. Your IP address is shortened before the analysis, so that it is no longer clearly assignable to you.

We have configured Matomo in such a way that Matomo will not store cookies in your browser.
